DU JAT which stands for Delhi University Joint Admission Test is a nationwide test conducted by the University of Delhi. The test is conducted for admission to various courses at the University of Delhi. Some courses popular among students are BMS(Bachelor of Management Studies), BBA(FIA) (Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance Investment Analysis) and BBE(Bachelor of Business Economics). Eligibility for Du Jat:
To apply for the most wanted course in DU JAT, One of the famous exams of Delhi University ie. ( BMS, BBA(FIA) and BBE ), one has to score at least 60% in his/her 12th board’s exam. Irrespective of the board you are from, CBSE, ISC or State board & student have Studied Mathematics in your intermediate is compulsory.
Exam Format of DU jat:
There is a total of 100 questions in the exam. All questions are MCQs and for each correct answer you get four marks and for each wrong answer, you get negative marking if one and zero for not attempting the question. The exam is computer-based and has a duration of 120 min. The exam is conducted in shifts.
The question paper has four sections:
i) Quantitative Ability: The number of questions: 25
Difficulty level: Moderate except for 2 to 3 questions of high difficulty &Topics covered are Same as studied in class 11 and 12.
ii) Logical Reasoning: Number of questions: 25
Difficulty level: Moderate except 2 to 3 questions of high difficulty &Topics covered are Pattern, Series, Blood Relation, Direction and Senses, Date and Time, Clock, Seating, arrangement, Venn Diagram, and similar topics
iii) Verbal Ability: Number of questions: 25
Difficulty level: Moderate except 2 to 3 questions of high difficulty &Topics covered are Correct usage of prepositions, Passage reading, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, para jumble
iv) General Knowledge: Number of questions: 25
Difficulty level: Moderate except 2 to 3 questions of high difficulty &Topics covered are Business news, Company, and their taglines, Sports event, National events, Politics
The result is released between 2 to 3 weeks from the day of commencement of the exam. The percentage is calculated and after norming the results with the other shift paper. The exam has 65% weight and rests 35% weight is of 12th marks. Then the final percentile is given & Besides the percentile, the rank is also given. For reserved categories students, their rank in the respective category is also given additionally to the general rank. So,
